Parish Privacy Policy
Saint Mary's Church Buttsbury is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Any personal data you provide for the purposes of your membership will be stored in a fair, lawful, secure and transparent way.
The personal data we hold on you
The personal data we hold on you will consist of your name and address, telephone numbers and email address as provided by you when you joined the Church or Gift Aid Scheme. If a member is younger than 16 years old, parental consent must be obtained in order for us to hold their personal data.
The information you provide to the Group will be stored on a personal computer which is password protected.
Why we need your personal data
The reason we need your data is to administer your membership and to enable us to arrange Parish activities, which include:
. Processing of membership forms and payments.
. Issuing Parish Newsletters.
. Sharing data with Committee members to provide information about Parish activities, membership renewals, or invitations to social events.
Our lawful basis for processing your personal data is that we have an obligation to you as a parish member to deliver the aims and objectives of the Parish.
Who we share your personal data with
We will not share your personal data with any third party without your prior consent.
We share names, telephone numbers and email addresses with the Parish Secretary, the Parish Treasurer and all members of the PCC and Parish Committees.
How long we hold your personal data
We will hold your personal data as long as you are a member with us. If you choose to leave the Churtch we will delete your personal data at the end of the following membership year.
Your rights regarding your personal data
You have the right at any time to request access to rectification or erasure of your personal data; to restrict or object to the processing noted above and to complain to the Information Commissioners Office about the processing of your personal data.
